I know I've been absent for a few days, but this is just a notice saying that I might be gone for up to another week and a half - hurricane Irene did a number on Connecticut's power grid, and it could be a number of days until I can get power back. I'll try and get on via the public library, but it'll be sporadic at best, worse case scenario not at all. Sorry if this causes you problems Alo, Syna, but if if I had the power to fix things myself I'd do it in a heartbeat.
So yeah, still alive but without home power or internet access for a few days, possibly more. I'll still be working on Galena when I can on and offline, so I'd appreciate it if you kept her faceclaim reserved. Again, sorry about disappearing like I did - I know it was a bit hypocritical of me given how upset I get when people poof without explanation, but yeah........ = /

It's grand, Nick, you explained to me beforehand so I would have known what was up even if you hadn't come back. I'll make sure the Faceclaim stays reserved for you and hopefully you'll be back on soon! Best of luck!

Update: Connecticut Light & Power is officially incompetent. They drove up to the end of our street, looked at the tree laying across the power lines right in front of my house, came back the next morning, looked at it again, and then promptly restored power to the entire street again - save for my house and the only two beyond it, because they were to lazy to cut the tree down and reset the damaged power lines and transformer. Apparently it isn't in their job description, so while my entire street has power back, I still won't for the foreseeable future. FML.
