This RP allows characters to have abilities. Generally speaking, the abilities will be inherited, but if you want something different, PM an admin and we will try work out something that suits both you and the backstory. Only two characters are permitted for each power, but we reserve the right to close apps for powers altogether if we feel too many people have them. New abilities may be added if suggested. Player: ThatRandomGuy Name: Jason Tham Ability: Jason possesses the ability to generate and discharge electricity from his body through conductive media (i.e. he must be touching the media and cannot discharge the electricity, such as water or metal, not air or concrete), and can either discharge an amount comparable to a stun gun to simply incapacitate opponents or generate enough power to short out an entire city block by simply touching a wire connected to the city power grid, all within a fraction of a second. The ability is more than simple electric shocks, however - used correctly it can generate a powerful electromagnetic field around the user for several brief moments, disabling any and all electronics or sensitive equipment within a several meter radius of the user. Jason's powers are especially useful because of his amazing agility, speed, endurance, dexterity, and natural strength, as well as his weapons of choice, two retractable metal cables with snap hooks and a matching pair of dual pronged daggers.
Weakness/Drawback: He is unable to directly control electric currents and charges that are naturally occurring, and while this ability can be channeled through any conductive substance without limit to the range, power or duration of the technique, it cannot be discharged through nonconductive surfaces such as air or concrete, meaning that Jason must either have direct physical contact with his target or be touching a conductive material such as metal that is also in contact with his target. Another drawback is that the ability makes the user highly visible in poorly lit areas when used, as Jason's sillhouette glows a soft neon blue when using his power. Likewise, the EMP technique is even more visable, bathing the entire affected area in the light, with objects and other people giving off the same luminescance that Jason does with the power's normal usage. The secondary EMP technique is also severely draining in terms of stamina unlike the primary usage of the power, with two successive uses easily capable of rendering Jason unconscious. Finally, the ability does not grant him any passive resistance to electrical attacks, and if not used carefully he can run the risk of shocking himself.
History of Power: First manifesting in his early teenage years at the age of 14, it was precisely this ability that attracted the attention of Team Rocket. Joining the organization and quickly climbing the ranks, Jason only truely began experimenting with the ability when he became one of Giovanni's personal agents, and after perfecting the usage at the age of 19 and quickly earning a reputation as one of Team Rocket's best agents and the world's best assassins of the time. A year later Jason would leave the organization for personal reasons, but continued to hone the ability after he joined the Rangers, offering both his skills and experience in return for amnesty.

Name: Veiki Ability: Psychic power, a combination of weak telepathy and telekinesis. Allows her to communicate with her Pokemon without speaking aloud, and perform basic actions without physically touching anything. Weakness/Drawback: Abilities are relatively short ranged and weak. Telepathic communication only seems to work with pokemon (as of now no human has ever responded), and even among pokemon it works best with those she is most familiar with. She can carry on conversations with her own team, but with an unfamiliar animal she /might/ get it to understand a vague greeting. In short, ability strengthens with bond. Similarly, her telekinetic powers are mostly restricted to simple tasks, such as shutting doors, flipping lights on/off, and oops-I-left-my-drink-over-there situations. Enough to mess with people, but she wont be moving any mountains. (Telekinetic power mostly for story purposes) History of Power: The telekinesis showed itself early on, when things around her magically scooted across the table, and lights flickered for no explainable reason. She was unknowingly moving things with her mind before she could move herself with her legs. Her inherent oddness, coupled with the strange happenings she seemed to be the cause of, scared her superstitious family into abandon her early on. Its hard to say when the ability to commune with pokemon manifested itself, but the beasts always seemed drawn to her, and her to them.
