To most it looks like she prefers Pokémon to people as she spends more time with her team than with other people, usually only speaking to them when work is involved. This is mainly just to hide the fact that she has no idea how to get along with people. She was never all that good with people to begin with, and spending most of her teenage years solely in the company of Pokémon has left her unprepared for sustained interaction with people. Adding onto that is that Gabrielle just naturally has a somewhat caustic personality. Despite trying to be friendly, when she doesn’t know how to handle a situation, she usually resorts to snark or bitchery. This means that she spends most of her time being a snarky bitch. She is also prone to violence, and she became a Ranger partly because it seemed like a good outlet for her aggression. However, despite her bad points, she does have some good ones. She is something of a chronic hero, and is unable to help herself from trying to help even people that she hates. She may not like people or Pokemon, but she will fight to keep them safe because that is what they deserve, though her methods may not always be honourable. She is also devoted to her job, and would probably chew her way through a wall if she had to. She also has a tendency to gesture too much with her hands. People have been hit. [/style]

This was so her mother, Maria, who was a Trainer, could complete the Unova Gym Challange. However, Maria vanished when Gabrielle was ten, presumed to have been killed by a dangerous Pokemon. Gabrielle was left in the care of her step-father, a man best described as 'oppressive'. Gabrielle became a Trainer at twelve partially to follow in her mother's footsteps, and partly to get out of the now unbearable house. However, her heart wasn't in it, and while she enjoyed the actual training with her Pokémon, she found the entire Gym Challenge to be somewhat pointless and a waste of good time. She did manage to beat a few Gyms during her brief stint as a Trainer, but she never completed the Unova Gym Challenge, or indeed, any Challange at all. Instead she devoted several years to training until she was good enough to become a Ranger, because if you’re going to make cute monsters with the power of a god fight each other, it may as well be for the public good. She was accepted into the Rangers at seventeen and has spent the last three years working in Unova. When she heard the League was opening in Hoseki, she applied to be one of the extra Rangers sent over there to help out, and, due to be a Hosekian, was approved and transferred over. She only arrived back a week ago and is currently living with her cousin while finding accommodation. [/style]

It was of course a Golett at the time. She’s been training with it ever since, though not seriously at first, and it has recently evolved. It’s her favourite, purely because she feels it makes no sense. Heiro, Sigilyph, LV 31 Psybeam-Syncronoise-Psychic Psyshock-Light Screen-Ice Beam -- The first and so far only Pokémon that Gabrielle caught herself, and only by pure chance at that. She caught it in the desert in Unova while in her ‘Trainer phase’, because she liked the cut of its jib. Cerberus, Houndour, LV 23 Ember-Bite-Flamethrower Payback-Odor Sleuth-Toxic The newest addition to her team, bought from a breeder in Unova a few years back. Good start, but could use a bit more work.

First off, her dislikes are a bit redundant - "bad art" and "bad music" are essentially one and the same, as are "nightclubs" and crowds". A little expansion on her appearance couldn't hurt, either - how tall is she? How much does she weigh in proportion to her height?

Next, her history could use a lot of expansion and attention to detail. Why did she wait until fourteen to become a trainer? What were her reasons for doing so when she did, and who bought her the Golett if there were family issues at the root of her delayed career as a trainer? Another point that was not elaborated on was when or how she left Hoseki for Unova, and why she quit the Gym Challenge and decided to go back home rather than act as a Ranger for the other regions. While these points may seem self evident to the person who made the character, it will make much more sense to other people wanting to RP with her if her reasons have a context to place them in.

Apart from that the rest of the bio looks pretty good - it's just those points that need some polishing before it's ready.
